Anna Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Ilkay Silk has been a director, actress writer, producer, and educator in St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton and is being the daughter of Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" that is originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending the rehearsals of productions as a young girl and observing her mother doing her job. At the beginning of her career Anna appeared in a number of commercials for television. Anna relocated to Toronto and moved to Los Angeles in 1999. Seth Cooperman, whom she had met in an Los Angeles actors' workshop at the end of 2007, became her partner in 2009. Anna was a convert to Judaism by then Seth Cooperman and Anna had been married in December 2010 in Fredericton. The couple got married in April 2011 the couple renew their vows in the traditional Jewish ceremony.
