Emily Bett Rickards (born July 24, 1992) is a Canadian actress. She has portrayed Felicity as Felicity in The CW Television Series Arrow. Rickards lived within British Columbia. For the purpose of launching her professional career, she began with musical theater and dancing with the intention of eventually being able to introduce more professional acting. She graduated from high school before her schedule and began studying at the Vancouver Film School where she was awarded the Acting Essentials Certificate. She attended an audition at an open call following the completion of her course. It resulted in her being signed with an agent. She attended the Alida Vocal Studio in Vancouver. The initial contract was to appear in one episode of the series, but her positive reactions from fans and her ability to make sarcasm funny was the catalyst for her to first appear as a guest-star, then being a co-star for the rest of season 1.
