Fawn Mckay

Fawn McKay was born 15 September 1915 in the city of Ogden in Utah. Fawn MacKay who was a Mormon who was part of the Church of Latter-Day Saints' first line of family has fused her amazing writing skills with her impressive researching skills to publish the dazzling psychohistorical biography of the author, No Man Knows My History, which was published in 1945. The title was inspired by the funeral sermon given by Joseph Smith, who was the creator of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. Smith shocked his listeners by declaring: "You don't even know my name. I haven't even met the depths of my soul." My history is unknown to anybody. Nobody knows my story. Fawn has written the 29-year-old Fawn. Since that time, at least three writers took on the task. A lot of them have denigrated him and some have glorified him. A few have tried their hands at diagnosing him clinically. It's not so much that the documents are insufficient, but rather they're wildly contradictory. It is a difficult task to assemble these documents and to distinguish first-hand stories from copies that are third-hand and fit Mormon and non Mormon narratives together into a coherent mosaic. This is a fascinating and instructive experience. FawnBrodie took on this professional challenge. Her research and writings brought her fame around the world: Thaddeus Stephens. The Devil Drives (1959) Scourge Of the South Thomas Jefferson. The Intimate Histories (1974) The Life of Sir Richard Burton (1974) and Richard Nixon.
